Slug form: Henry is actually a large, transparent slug who can change his shape. In his slug form, he's twelve feet long and a bit shy of five feet tall at his apex. His skin is a thick, resilient transparent rubber, and he looks like a moving mass of water. In front are tentacles, variable in number, but he usually has four. Human form: When shapeshifted, Henry appears to be a human male in his mid-forties. He based his appearance on a composite, using images of respected doctors and a good amount of trial-and-error until he ended up with something Talos describes as “dignified.” Since he began his composite using basic human skeletal structure, his face is a bit skull-like, with sunken eyes and hollow cheekbones. His hair is a fair brown, thinning, with a hint of graying, and his eyes are an odd, reflective light blue. (While Henry can change his surface color, he cannot see through it, so the eyes remain uncolored.) Dress is very dignified. Suits and ties, and for his… “scientific” work, a white lab coat.
Henry is one of the calmest and most rational people you will ever meet. He's fair, polite, gentle, tolerant, and very disciplined. He never makes snap judgments or lets his emotions control his reactions. He's incredibly knowledgeable in a variety of subjects and is always willing to answer questions. He's just a really nice guy who enjoys learning new things at every opportunity. Those who know him well tend to place him in a fatherly position due to his calmness and wisdom. He may be a nice guy, but he puts science before all else, and isn't above questionable tactics or experiments in the pursuit of knowledge. Like experimentation on animals or people. He's a nice guy, but not a particularly caring one. Areas of expertise include: interspecies biology (emphasis on circulatory systems), comparative interspecies biology (a more medically-minded offshoot of interspecies biology), multi-base mathematics, seventeen intergalactic languages and thirty-five written language configurations (emphasis ancient scripts), biological computers, cultural psychology, mathematical theory (emphasis quantum mechanics), comparative molecular composition, molecular engineering (emphasis biological application), and basic interspecies medicine.
Born on a water planet, Henry has spent a large portion of his life off-planet, studying a great number of things. He's traveled extensively and interacted with a great number of alien cultures. Basically, he went around studying at various educational institutions for 200 years. Recently he came to Earth, leaving his home dimension (the Dark Universe) to conduct a survey of the Light Universe, ancient enemy of his home dimension. Currently he's in Roanoke, Virginia, playing with cadavers and babysitting his fellow Dark Universe senshi. Oh, yeah, and he has a daughter named Glubbug who spends most of her time contained in her father's semiporous membrane. Sorry, it's not much to go by.
