Appearance
What does your character look like? Hair, eyes, face, height, weight, build, distinguishing features. Please be detailed.

Too many people make the mistake of not describing their character in detail enough. Sometimes we read a description and get the impression that the character is just a blob with hair and eyes. You can avoid this! Here are some points your might consider mentioning!

• Skin tone/texture. Is your character tanned or fair-skinned? Smooth skin, oily skin, covered in scars? Just try to tell us.
• Shape of eyes/eyebrows. Perhaps your character has small eyes, or long ones, almond-shaped or round. You may also want to say a little something about the shape of your character's eyebrows. Bushy? Thin? Arced?
• Color of eyes. Blue? What kind of blue? Sky blue, dark blue, navy blue... Don't just give the basic color, try to give us an example of something with a similar shade as well.
• Nose. Does your character have a big nose? A little one? Maybe it looks like Barbra Streisand's nose.
• Mouth. A small mouth, a wide mouth, thin or thick lips.
• Hair color. Always important. As with eye color, try to be a bit more descriptive. Your character may have straw-colored blond hair, or platinum blond.
• Hair texture. Curly, straight, wavy, stringy.
• Hairstyle. How does your character keep his/her hair cut? Long or short? Bangs? Do they usually braid it or put it in a bun?
• Height. Are they overly tall or short?
• General build. They may be skinny and frail-looking or heavily muscled. Maybe they're overweight.
• Hands. Some people have big hands, some bite their nails, etc. You may also want to extend this to toes.
• Distinguishing features. If your character has any easily noticeable scars, they should be mentioned. Maybe they have a limp, or are missing an eye? (Okay, probably not, but it's a possibility.)
• Facial expression. Are they always smiling or frowning?

That should be more than enough to get you thinking about what your character really looks like. Now to get them ready for battle!
