trachyte     a fine-grained igeneous rock consisting essentially of alkali feldspar and one or more subordinate minerals, as hornblende or mica: the volcanic equivelant of syenite
ulexite     a mineral, hydrous sodium and calcium borate, occurring in arid regions in the form of white acicular crystals
uralite     hornblende formed by the hydrothermal alteration of pyroxene
uraninite     a mineral, probably originally uranium dioxide, but altered by radioactive decay, and usually containing more or less uranium trioxide, lead, radium, and helium, occurring in several varieties, includinf pitchblende: the most important ore of uranium
