the Imperial Calendar

The Imperial Calendar is the standardized calendar used throughout the DU. It consists of 15 months, each consisting of 25 days. The months are grouped into five groups of three based upon their major elements. The first three months are fire, the next three earth, etc. Each month also has a minor elemental association linked with the ancient system of astrological signs. (The names of the months come from these ancient signs.)

Due to the differing length of the day, a year in the Standard DU calendar equals about a year on Earth.

In addition, the DU uses a 15-year cycle akin to a Chinese Zodiac, with a separate system of signs. The meanings of these signs are a little harder to translate from the ancient and seem to be metaphorical. "Current year" is Roanoke's Season Two.
