Guardian
What is your guardian called, if you have one? What type of creature is it and what does it look like? And especially don't forget personality.

Where some rpgs are very strict about guardians, you're free to create as many as you like, provided you stick with a few rules.

  • One guardian per senshi, unless you've got some really interesting justification for it.

  • Your guardian must be relevant to your senshi. e.g. A senshi from Sirius (the Dog Star) might very well have a dog guardian.

  • Guardians can be for male or female senshi of any level.

Different types of senshi have different types of guardians. The Astronomia Senshi's guardians all bear the names of craters. Check a map of the moon or Mars to find some. The Graikos Senshi's guardians are named after people associated with a myth of that god or goddess. Romanus guardians are famous Roman people. Angelus Senshi guardians are saints. Romanus Famous Romans Julius Caesar, Octavius Caesar, Marcus Antonius, Septimius Severus, other Roman Emperors or historical figures.

It's not that difficult. Of course, please make sure the type of animal your guardian is has something to do with your senshi! Don't just give your senshi a cat because you feel like it.

To repeat, your guardian must have something to do with your senshi. Ariel has a cat because Ariel means "lioness of G-d" and lions are a type of big cat. Perdix is a partridge because his name means partridge and it's part of his myth. Aphrodite's guardian is a lovebird and Cupid's is a dove, both associated with the concept of love and lust. Phoenix has a hawk; hawks are birds like phoenixes. Horologium has a mouse name Timocharis, coming from a nursery rhyme, and "timo-" means time. (Horologium has power over clocks.) Neptune has a turtle. Turtles are marine creatures and Neptune has power over the sea.

You should make a guardian with relevance to your character, and in addition, both the name and type of animal should have some relevance.

Note: for those senshi who do not have guardians, you will be "spotted" by other guardians and given your powers. There are spotters for every team, so don't feel like you have to make a guardian.

I repeat, you do not HAVE to make a guardian!
