Personality | Appearance Unlike in some rpgs, it is not terribly important that the name you choose have to do with your senshi's powers, but choosing a name with a real meaning can be a lot of fun. There are some good name resources on the Resource Page. You can just find a name that has a meaning you might associate with your character. Please, don't go picking up Japanese names without good reason! I promise you that there will be an extension of the game in Japan. In the meantime, using Japanese names and words is grounds for rejection. Of course, you could also go with a name that has meaning to the character's family, such as naming your character after his or her great-uncle so-and-so who was a pilot in WWII... A lot of people name their kids this way, but not so many rpg characters are named like this. Maybe you'll be different? Finally, you can just pick a name. It can be really cliché to pick a meaningful name, so why not try the top of your head? Or something common? (Give us your Jims, your Joes, your Roberts, Sams and Pauls! Your Janes, your Annes, your Sues and Marys!) Please please please don't use first names as last names! In other words, don't go find three first names you like, then just randomly make one the character's first name, one the middle, and one the last name. Find a real last name! Please please please PLEASE don't just take a word and make it the character's name! This includes foreign words! Use real names! For the love of all that is holy, USE REAL NAMES! In addition, telling us the meaning of the name is a nice touch that shows you did some research. The meaning doesn't have to have anything to do with your senshi. You don't have to name your Sailor Earth "Terra." You don't have to name your Sailor Persephone "Flora." Just tell us what "Anne" or "Susan" means and we'll be happy. Also include the meaning of your surname. Take "Richardson," for example. It means "son of Richard." Getting the idea? Good, then. Let's move on. |
