Personality | Appearance Personality Personality is important. Personality governs how your character interacts with others in the game. Giving us a general idea of your character's behavior is very important. Once you've given a general idea, flesh the personality out! Confused? I'll do my best to help you figure out how to do this. It won't be easy, but since personality is so important, you shouldn't expect it to be easy! First, determine what your characters basic traits are. Let's use "friendly" as an average example. Think of the five w's. Who, What, When, Where, and Why. Who has already been established -- your character. It could also be who your character is friendly to in this case. Maybe your character is only nice to girls or children. What makes your character a friendly person? The way they speak to others? Their deeds? When are they friendly? When others are friendly to them, or all the time, regardless of the people around them? Is it when he or she is with a special person? Where is not really important here, although if your character if more likely to be friendly away from his or her home turf, that should also be answered. The most important question is why. Why is your character friendly? Is it because someone showed him/her kindness when they were young? Is it to please others? Go through this process with all the major traits. Then, articulate this into a paragraph form! (Sorry, you'll have to do that yourself.) Here are some questions to get you thinking about other areas of the personality.
