Powers
Your senshi's beginning powers. Maximum of two for females. More powers can be learned. Maximum of four for males. Please include how the senshi performs the attack, what the effects are, and how many times it can be used.

Yep, you heard it. Female senshi get two powers, males get up to four. Your powers must have something to do with your character's power base. If you picked a Graikos, Romanus, Angelus, or Celtae, you probably already have a power base assigned. If you are playing one of these myth-based senshi but don't have a power base assigned, you should pick one that relates to the myth.

If you play an Astronomia or DU, you have the chance of a lifetime. You get to pick your power base out of thin air. My favorite method of doing this is to open up a dictionary to a random page and plop my finger down. You wouldn't believe the great power bases you can come up with this way. You can make a power base out of nearly anything! Don't believe me? Take a look at these examples. All words were randomly picked.

Word: exsolution - to exsolve - to separate from one another at a critical point in temperature
Power 1: Senshi can target any inanimate object within thirty feet up tot he size of a basketball. The object will grow very hot, burning tot he touch, before exploding in a shower of scalding shrapnel.
Power 2: Creates a barrier around senshi and nearby teammates. When an enemy tries to attack the barrier, their attack splinters into nothingness.

Word: declivity - a downward slope, as of ground
Power 1: Makes sinkholes about six feet in diameter.
Power 2: Disorients enemy(s), causing them to think the ground is sloped and fall down.

Word: thimblerig - sleight-of-hand swindling game in which the operator palms a small pellet or pea while appearing to cover it with one of three cups, then offers to bet no one can tell under which cup the pea lies
Power 1: A minor teleportation power, maximum fifty feet. The senshi calls down three human-sized cups, which cover the senshi and up to two allies. The three are then transported somewhere nearby and out of sight. The enemy knocks down or attacks the cups, only to find no one there.
Power 2: Senshi can steal any visible object small enough to fit into the palm of senshi's hand, such as buttons or ornamentation on enemy senshi's uniforms. Senshi merely uses power and the object appears in the senshi's hand.

Word: garner - to gather, deposit, get, acquire (garnering)
Power 1: Senshi can summon visible objects to hand.
Power 2: Senshi can cause a pile of dirt to fly through the air and fall on an enemy.

Word: vivify - to give life to, animate, quicken
Power 1: Senshi can animate inanimate objects, causing them to come to life and attack enemies.
Power 2: Senshi can return life to unconscious or petrified teammates, or heal them of minor wounds (resoting life to the area of the wound).
Power 3: Senshi can speed up or empower teammates or self.

Just think of the endless possibilities in our language! Pick some bizarre power bases and have fun! Don't forget to explain how the attack is performed, and what the effects are, including such things as the area of effect and duration of effect.
