Senshi: Sailor Lucifer, Fallen Angelus Senshi of Negative Emotions
Name: Anastasija Vladmira Yerikov-Dubhan
Meaning:
Anastasija (Serbian): Resurrection
Vladmira (Russian): Prince. As Russian custom goes, girls bear a feminine version of their father's or closest male relative’s first name. In this case, Anastasija is named after her grandfather since her father isn't Russian.
Yerikov (Russian, from Yerik): Appointed by God
Dubhan (Irish Gaelic): Darkness, shadow
All together, her name means something along the lines of "Resurrected Prince of Darkness Appointed By God". Hehe hehe... *coughcheesycough* (It's pronounced Auhna-sta-zhuh VLAWD-mear-a yeer-ra-KAWV DOO-ban. It's a mouthful...)
Age: 17
Birthdate: August 15th
Astrological Sign: Leo
Blood Type: O
Family:
Stephen Dubhan (Father, 40): Woohoo! Stephen is Roanoke’s foremost and most prosperous mortician, a tradition handed down to him from his father, whom had it handed down from his father, who inherited the business his father, etc, etc. Anastasija finds the family tradition very fascinating, and usually drops by randomly while her father’s working, so much to the point that she isn’t really phased at the sight of a cadaver (except the time Stephen was working on her kindergarten teacher…that traumatized her for awhile). Anyway, Stephen has a morbid sense of humor (go figure) and a penchant for making really bad puns. He is of average height (6’) and weight and has gray eyes and blonde hair.
Irina Yerikov-Dubhan (Mother, 38): The perfect PTA mom. If it involves school, Irina volunteers; she’s the current president of PH’s PTSA. People (parents and students alike) say that school spirit and pep is hereditary through the Yerikov-Dubhan bloodline; she has more pep than her children do, though not by much. In addition to the school stuff, she’s works for the local paper, as an obituary writer. She’s originally from Moscow, Russia. Irina is tall (5’8") and of average weight and has green eyes and brown red hair.
Alexi 'Alex' Yerikov-Dubhan (Twin brother, 18): Like Anastasija and the rest of the family, Alex is infused over-the-top school spirit; he serves as the school mascot. He's also in drama and is on the varsity swim team. He looks much like Anastasija: tall, brown hair, golden eyes.
Vladmir Yerikov - (Grandfather, 68): Former Russian soldier. Former POW during WW II, he left Europe after he was released from a German work camp, settled in New York upon arrival at Ellis Island, and married. Vladmir moved in with his daughter's family after his wife (Svetlana) died. A carpenter by trade, he makes knickknacks and teaches his grandchildren Russian (they've been lazy and haven't kept it up since they left Moscow, in his opinion). He's the lovable grandfather type, has gray hair that was at one time black, gray eyes, and is tall. As a side note, he was named after Prince Vlad Dracul the Impaler, better known as Count Dracula.
School: Formerly North Cross, currently attending Patrick Henry, grade 11. Her parents are trying to reenroll her and her brother into North Cross.
Likes: School, cheerleading, irony ("You'd think a Goth would represent the angel Lucifer."), the 'Addams Family' movies, South Park (she finds it amusing to watch Kenny die episode after episode), Coke ("Coke is way better than Pepsi), martial arts, Stephen King novels ("The man gets those stories from somewhere.")
Dislikes: Cheerleader stereotypes ("Not all cheerleaders are blonde and ditzy!"), Pepsi, her Angelus uniform ("If I’m an angel, where are my bloody wings?" She also dislikes the jacket), religion, heights
Favorite Food: Fugu. Anastasija ate it at a Japanese restaurant and loved it; she liked it because it tasted good, but even more so because it didn’t kill her. Too bad it’s too toxic to eat on a regular basis. And Coke, "The king of carbonated beverages."
Hated Food: Pepsi, organ meats.
Favorite Subject: Psychology
Hated Subject: Religion, since it’s what got her in trouble back at North Cross and because it just really hasn’t been a big part of her life to begin with.
Color: Cream
Hobbies: Cheerleading, collecting gravestone rubbings (involves putting a piece of paper over a headstone and rubbing a crayon or something like that over it, leaving the pattern of the headstone on the paper), practicing martial arts (she's a green belt in judo [the order of belts being white, green, purple, brown, black, as far as I know]; she's been studying for two years), watching TV, bothering her father at work, doing school-related activities, traveling.
Aspirations: Anastasija isn't sure what she'd like to do yet, but she's quite the wandering sprit and would like to do something that requires a lot of travel. She'd also like to obtain her black belt in judo.
Gemstone: Her birthstone is peridot, but she likes mother-of-pearl more.
History
Anastasija and her brother were born in raised in Roanoke. When she was seven, her parents and grandparents took her to Moscow to visit the rest of the family still in Russia, on what was supposed to be a two-week trip; the two-week trip turned into seven years. During this time, Anastasija was very happy: she had friends, her family loved her, and lived the life of the typical child. Anastasija and Alex’s best and closest friend was their cousin Sergi, older than they were by two years. The three were practically inseparable.
Eventually, her father became homesick for Virginia, and her family moved back to the States. Once back, Stephen went back to his business and Irina got a job with the local paper; her grandparents returned to New York. Anastasija and Alex adjusted fairly well. The two entered North Cross, as their parents thought that being in a private school would heighten their educational process. Anastasija never really liked North Cross, since it her family was never really religious from the start, but she did her best to ignore her religion class (thus retaining a steady ‘D-‘ in the class for two years) and focus on her other subjects and large circle of friends.
This was all fine and dandy until her sophomore year at North Cross. This was when she started to have dreams first of falling from light into darkness, then of herself flying in front of four figures flying through the air on horseback, leading mass destruction wherever she went. The one time Anastasija actually paid attention in her religious studies (the class was studying dreams and their religious significance), she told everyone about her dream. Needless to say, her teacher was...troubled (an understatement) to hear one of her students having dreams of the Apocalypse, and immediately went to the headmaster to have her removed from the school. Anastasija was eventually expelled from the school on the grounds of "fear of causing disturbances amongst the other students". Alex was also kicked out "for the assurance of overall mental health and physical safety". Then her grandmother died, making everything a bit worse. Her grandfather moved in with the family.
The two were *then* put into the closest school available: Patrick Henry, where Stephen had attended high school. Anastasija was fairly depressed at the time, (since most of the people at North Cross think she's a psycho, ever since 'the end of the world' episode) when one of her friends encouraged her to try out for cheerleading. As it turned out, Anastasija had a natural talent for it and is now on the varsity cheerleading squad. She also got into student government, and is now the student body vice-president.
Personality
On a good day, Anastasija is extremely, almost excruciatingly, peppy. She's gung-ho about just about everything, especially school-related things. Charismatic to the extreme, she practically radiates energy and happiness to the point where one simply cannot stay cannot stay mad, lazy, or indecisive for very long in her presence; she'd be a great politician. It's really hard to hate her; she's so damn nice and seemingly caring. She's a brave and confident soul, gives an impression of optimism, and knows how to work a crowd to her advantage (AKA, How To Make People Love And Idolize You 101). In other words, the type of person Jace would like to string up by the ankles and poke with a live cattle prod.
While charismatic, brave, and self-confident, Anastasija can be the biggest, most self-centered, dominating bitch (excuse the language) to walk the earth on a bad day. She tends to be a dictator about certain things, and if she doesn’t get her way, watch out. She has a reasonably large ego (an understatement), and to deflate it is to make an enemy; she's really sensitive about things, and depending on who makes a cruel remark, it can shatter her for weeks (metaphorically speaking). Pride and ego have made things a lot harder for Anastasija, as those two parts of her personality simply cannot let her turn down any sort of challenge, dare, or gamble; pride and ego also make her have exceptionally high standards.
In addition to all of that, Anastasija is one of the more manipulative people currently walking the earth; possessing a velvet tongue, she can make most people see things her way. She doesn’t consider lying and conniving to get want she wants beneath her. If she wants something (or someone), she’ll do everything in her power to get it; she’s clever enough to make it seem like someone else did it, or make it seem not as bad. Everyone, including her parents seems to be taken by it all. Everyone that is, except her grandfather. Anyway, Anastasija has a talent for ferreting people's innermost thoughts and feelings, and can tell one hell of a lie and usually get away with it.
Appearance
Two physical characteristics make Anastasija stand out: her height and eyes. First off, height. Anastasija's pretty tall...taller than most of her peers, standing at a lofty 5'10; she's absurdly tall for her age and gender, and knows it. She almost takes pride in towering above most people, and thanks her Northern European ancestors (Russian and Norwegian) for her freakish, er *ahem*, extraordinary height. On to the other eerie physical characteristic - her eyes. A rich golden color (ah, the flexibility of anime coloring), her eyes are far too unique to ignore, and people are known to stop in their tracks to look them; they're almost scary. As a result, Anastasija can win a staring contest hands down, and has been compared to Medusa at one point ^^. She's pretty intimidating.
On to the rest of her appearance. Buildwise, she is somewhere between slender and muscular, leaning towards muscular; she's a cheerleader, but can't do much in the way of acrobatics, due to her height, but is fairly strong. She's in shape, but she won't go run miles for the sheer hell of it. Her shiny chestnut-colored hair, hanging just below her shoulder blades, usually is pulled back into messy, just-got-out-of-the-bed/shower bun, secured with bobby pins. In her hair are perpetual blue (PH is blue, right?) streaks, something she does to show her school pride/sprit. Anastasija tends to wear clothing described as casual chic (it comes from time spent at North Cross): She usually wears flared pants (but is rarely seen in denim), strappy platform sandals, and a somewhat tight-fitting (but not overly revealing) top. She makes a point to making sure her clothing is neat and appropriate to the situation.
Fuku
First off, Lucifer's costume is bare of bows. Ok, starting from the top, her Azreal looks like this:
Anastasija's trademark blue streaks disappear from her hair, leaving it in its natural bronze state. Lucifer sports a thin silver tiara, engraved with three crows on each band, with mother-of-pearl eyes. Her ears are pierced three times in each ear; a silver hoop in the cartilage, and two silver studs, also in the shape of ravens with mother-of-pearl eyes. Two thin silver bands cross to form her choker. She wares a cream-colored camisole with spaghetti straps; while a bit low-cut and tight, it covers her entire midriff. Over her top, she wears a very short, bomber-style jacket made of a transparent fabric with hints of silver. She wears twin silver armbands on each forearm, engraved with the familiar crow design (Does that count as a glove-ish thing?). Here's the big change: rather than a skirt, Lucifer wears cream-colored capri-style pants, embroidered with crows up the sides in black. In the tradition of impractical senshi footwear, Lucifer sports a pair of cream-colored stiletto heels.
Transformation
Sailor Lucifer has no henshin item. Rather, she simply holds up her left hand (she's left handed) and shouts " Lucifer Angelus Power, Make Up!" Three beams of light shine upon Anastasija, then materialize into bolts of cloth. The bolt of cloths wrap around her, then harden to form a cocoon. The cocoon shatters, leaving Lucifer standing with her arms crossed at chest level, feet planted together.
In addition to her physical transformation, Anastasija undergoes personality changes: Lucifer is almost completely heartless. Her primary goal is to turn the reawakened Angelus senshi to the fallen side (Give into the dark side! *Ahem*), using any means necessary to do so. She’s a bit of a coward when it comes to fighting, and will often spy on her teammates (to find ways of using them to her advantage), before she’ll come out to fight. Her primary lust is for power.
Power:
[I’m assuming powers aren’t limited to attacks…Lucifer has two abilities besides her one power]
Lucifer's field of vision includes the aura, so she can read those of her enemies. It helps her figure out ways to use her power. In addition, Lucifer amplifies Anastasija’s natural conniving, er, persuasion talent.
Nefarious Emotional Resurrection: In this attack, Lucifer probes her target’s mind for memories that bring upon negative feelings: depression, despair, jealousy, but more importantly, rage and anger. Then, she creates an illusion of the memory, to harm the victim psychologically. Depending on the victim’s willpower, it usually makes them blackout or temporarily drives them insane. Lucifer also uses the memory to make other senshi join the fallen side.
The problem with this power is she must have physical contact with the target, and not just in any place. She has to touch the one of target's seven chakras (the best one being where the third eye’s is said to be located). Now, how many senshi allow an enemy to stroll up to them and poke them in the forehead on a regular basis? With the answer to that question, Lucifer usually has to wait until the target is weakened or she has to sneak up on them. In addition to that, a disbeliever can counteract the illusions. She can use the power only once every time she transforms.
Guardian: None.
Star/Myth/Angel
Lucifer. AKA Satan, the Prince of Darkness, personification of evil, ect. Anyway, as the Bible tells, Lucifer was at one time an important angel in Heaven until he became disgruntled, led a rebellion against God and angels loyal to Him, and was defeated. As punishment, Lucifer and all the angels he'd seduced into evil were kicked out of Heaven and fell to Earth. The perception of Lucifer as the King of Hell is in reality not correct since the Bible many times states that to this day supposedly Lucifer travels Heaven and Earth in search of souls to corrupt. According to prophesy, *after* Judgement Day, Lucifer is when he will take on the title of King of Hell.
All of this is subject to verification, because a) I'm not personally Christian, and reason b) Christian theology isn't my strongpoint, but I'm pretty sure this is correct.
I decided to pick Lucifer because there are no Fallen Angelus senshi, and l know for a fact, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Lucifer is a fallen angel. On to the powers. Most of the powers revolve around mind games, since it's said that's what Lucifer does best. Does that make any sense?
Writing Sample
This goes back to the fateful day in which Anastasija was kicked out of North Cross.
"Class, I hope you are doing well this morning." said Mrs. Wintergreen. The old woman put on her horn-rimmed spectacles with a wrinkled hand, then loudly cleared her throat. "Now, today's discussion is dreams. As you all *should* know," Mrs. Wintergreen said with a look in Anastasija's direction, "Dreams often times have significance to the important things in life, like faith. Miss Dubhan! Would you like to start the discussion?"
"What?" Anastasija asked, more of a half-conscious than a question; until that point, she'd been peacefully sleeping. The rest of the class laughed.
"Would you like to start the discussion? I'm assuming you've been listening since the class began."
'Well, maybe if the class wasn't first period, I'd stay awake. Better yet, if I didn't have this class, everything would be fine.' Anastasija flipped through her organizer, where she'd written down the previous night's homework. Then she remembered the dreams she'd been having: falling from the sky into subterranean depths, then leading an army of destruction. The scenes and images put her in mind of a cheesy post-apocalyptic action movie. Anastasija grinned and thought, The old bat will get a kick out of this.
"Well, lately, I've been having dreams one might call strange. First, I'm in paradise, then I attack someone important, I think, and I fall to darkness. So later, I strike back. There's lots of death and destruction and fire and stuff. And then lots of people start to fall into the darkness and-"
"Oh..." said Mrs. Wintergreen. "That's very interesting, Anastasija. Do you have dreams like that frequently?"
"Uhm...a lot, lately." Anastasija gave her teacher a smile that nearly split her face in two.
Mrs. Wintergreen practically ran out of the room to make that fateful phone call.

Emiko: Why does she have a twin? And the twin is a different age? PH is purple and gold, actually. ^^ Fleming is blue and gold. Tiara is a bit confusing. Um.. transparent jacket reminds me of Aphrodite a bit. Umm... I don't think she should be able to make other senshi join the Fallen side... since the fallen really are their own side. Maybe she could just make them doubt or something? Accept with Revisions.
