Location: Roanoke
Senshi: Sailor Pluto, Astronomia/Planete Senshi of Ice
Name: Wendy Parker
Meaning: Wendy means white. Parker, originally chosen because of the
relevance to Hope's power base ("nosy Parker"), means "someone who parks
something." Maybe some ancient ancestor was the master of parallel parking
with chariots, I don't know.
Age: 12
Birthdate: December 14
Astrological Sign: Sagittarius
Blood Type: O
Family:

Tanya Parker- Wendy's mother is a kind, tolerant lady who works at the power
company as, according to Wendy, the "Executive Director of
Something-or-other." She is the reason that the family actually has money
enough to live in the semi-rich neighbourhood it now does. Short and a bit
fat, Tanya has textured chin-length pink hair, tall gold eyes and dark
circles under said eyes from getting up at five in the morning- she usually
hides this with makeup. Tanya is also rather pale, especially when compared
to the rest of the family.

Hosea Parker- Wendy's father, victim to Adele's strange naming process. His
full-time job is that of a police detective, and ironically he's currently
working on the senshi death cases. He is also a writer, not so successful
but pretty good. He writes fantasy stories, which all have at least five
dragons in them for some odd reason. This can be attributed to the Parker
art gene. The man is short, and has neat, short dirty blond hair and dark
skin, and was often mistaken for his two-years-older brother Tsvi as a
child. However, he has dark chestnut eyes instead of pink, and a bit of a
long nose.

Adele and Trevor Parker-Wendy's grandparents live in a senior citizens'
apartment building in the city. Adele is a short old lady with huge
shoulder-length grey curls, too much hairspray and who is always wearing
some kind of business-type dress, only in outrageous colours. She tends to
give people she is vexed at an incredibly scary look that Wendy calls the
Old Lady Glare- and she is vexed a lot. Trevor is strict but still kinder
than his wife ever was. He is taller, too, and has short black hair with a
great amount of grey in it. Both have dark-chocolate-coloured skin, being
Hosea's parents. Trevor also paints a great amount of pictures, usually of
the view from his apartment window or wherever they happen to be, having
what the family has long since taken to calling the Parker art gene. Adele
is also extremely fond of odd names, having given her sons such names.

Tsvi, Raisa and Hope Parker- Wendy's uncle, aunt and cousin are all living
in Rome, Italy. She has rarely seen any of them, because Tsvi, Hosea's
brother, left to an art school in Rome (his pottery is attributed to the
Parker art gene) and stayed when he met Raisa. She wasn't even alive back
then, their espionage-obsessed ballerina daughter Hope being two years her
senior. Wendy doesn't even remember meeting them as a baby when the family
visited Italy. Only mentioned because of Hope's senshi status and the
possibility of America/Italy crossover stories.

School/Occupation: NC, sixth grade. She also has a large paper route, which
gives her a rather large amount of money (by kid standards- $60 a month or
so).

Skills: Wendy can play basketball well, and is pretty good at street hockey,
although (ironically) she never got the hang of ice skates. She's also good
in the role of ref. What she can't do is write clearly. From having to fit a
lot of words in a small space constantly during schoolwork, she's developed
miniscule, cramped handwriting that only she can read. She is a good actress
though, the only visible strain of the Parker art gene in Wendy. She tends
to always know just what to say- although she does tend to say too much.
Wendy also reads a lot, and has an unknown but rather high reading level.

Likes: Street hockey, her father's stories, dragons, basketball, reading,
refereeing
Dislikes: Ice hockey, people saying her writing is too small, prep notes,
dolls, anything too girly, girly prep type people
Fav. Food: Fish sticks
Hated Food: Unsweetened chocolate chips
Fav. Subject: P.E.
Hated Subject: English ("I'm going to die from an overdose of prep notes.")
Color: Ice Blue and Brown
Hobbies: writing incredibly bad fiction, refereeing intramurals at school
Aspirations: Become a very good and very, very rich ref (no matter how
unrealistic that is- rich ref?)
Gemstone: Goshenite

History

First things first, Wendy's always lived in the nice dark green house that
she lives in now, in the neighbourhood that's called "rich" but really isn't
that much above average. She had a pretty normal life. When Wendy was a
baby, her family went to Italy to visit her relatives, but that was before
she can remember and she hasn't seen them since. Other than that, her life
as a baby was boring.

The first significant thing is that there were never any girls her age on
her street, but there were plenty of boys. Therefore, Wendy, determined not
to be friendless, played street hockey and basketball with them. She had
talent enough, but some of the others were usually better. The only thing
she had the overall advantage in was that she knew all the rules. Her other
main pastime was reading, which her father often did with her, usually
reading his own stories. Wendy learned to read on her own at three, though
that hadn't been noticed until a while later (no one knows how much later)
when she was reading a book at her friend's house aloud that they didn't
have at home.

Going into kindergarten, Wendy suddenly met girls her own age. To her
disappointment, all but one or two wanted to play dolls all day. This was
not the favourite pastime of the athletic girl, so she played sports outside
with the boys from her street and their friends. There was only one girl:
Wendy. She never felt alone, however. She had as many friends as she could
want, and books to sneak into class when they had to learn to read (which
she already knew well how to do).

By the first grade, her reading level was up to sixth grade. However, she
was often victim to having her literary companions snatched by a teacher and
promptly returned to the school library, followed by a lecture on reading in
class. When she tried to explain that she already knew all these things like
what one plus one or the letter O is, the teachers rolled their eyes and
attempted to convince Wendy that she did not know what they were teaching
her. This was a pathetic attempt to get her to listen in class, and no one
knew that more than Wendy did. However, she perfected the art of pretending
to listen and stashing away her books.

Books and sports were the number one thing on Wendy's mind when all the
other girls were obsessed with playing dolls. She felt as if she was the
token girl on one of the boy-oriented cartoons she watched, while all other
girls her age were the pathetic, we-can't-fight-whatsoever heroines of the
horrible girl-themed TV she never even bothered to watch. However, at the
beginning of the third grade, a new student came into her class named
Abigail Tyler, who insisted to the teacher that she despised nicknames and
just wanted to be called Abigail. The first thing she did at recess was
introduce herself to Wendy's group and ask if she could play basketball.
Wendy's team won, but the new girl wasn't so bad at sports. Abigail and
Wendy became fast friends, and are best friends to this day.

Enter sixth grade- the age that you get to try out for the school sports
teams. Abigail and the majority of the boys made the basketball team. Wendy,
however, had a large burn on her finger from hot glue due to a lapse of
knowledge that resulted in her putting her right second finger into a pool
of the stuff that the class was using in Art. The blister was incredibly
huge, and her finger was covered in a large bandage for the week, after
which there were tryouts. Looking like E.T. and having the risk of popping
the blister stopped her from trying out, and Wendy was stuck as the ref.

Despite her earlier dislike of the situation, she decided that she liked
being the ref. You could look like E.T. with a huge blister, or a Yeti with
a gigantic bandage, or otherwise be injured, and you could still be the ref.
Once she was healed, she decided to try out for ice hockey. However, this
was a mistake, as she'd never had ice skating lessons before. Once she was
finally able to part from the wall, Wendy couldn't stop crashing. Needless
to say, she didn't make the team. Wendy still doesn't like ice hockey
because of this, though she'll be the school team ref for that sport if no
one else will.

That brings us to today. Wendy is in a mostly-male athletic social group,
and her best friend is Abigail Tyler. She goes to the library daily, and her
reading level is unknown, but probably off the scale by now. Wendy's a big
fan of her father's books as well, which led her to like dragons. She'd
never get a tattoo of one, but she likes them. She's also the regular
intramural ref, and takes part in many school sports.

Personality

Wendy could be considered quite a tomboy. The only girl she actually hangs
out with is Abigail Tyler, and the rest of her friends are guys. In fact,
though she can stand girly people, she does not like them as much as she
might. She's been an athlete for a Very Long Time, and her main strength in
this is that she knows all the rules to practically every sport in the
WORLD. Well, not really, but a lot. Wendy HATES ice hockey, and cannot
skate. Ironic, because she's the senshi of ice. However, she does love
street hockey. The fact that she knows so many sports' rules makes her a
perfect referee, and she loves this, though she always avoids the job in ice
hockey.

She's always on the school sports teams, her group is the athletic one with
only two girls and a heap of guys, and according to her, prep notes are the
root of all evil- that and teachers who say that her writing is too small.
Her English teacher just happens to love prep notes and hate Wendy's
writing. She's not too fond of him, obviously. The only other people she's
not the best friends with are incredibly girly people, especially if they
happen to be preps. However, even if these people were on her team, Wendy
would try to help them no matter what. She puts her team before herself, in
sports and senshi-dom. This will probably add her to the immense list of
Astronomia casualties, but she doesn't really think about that too much.
There are times when she doesn't think about anything, like when she put her
finger into hot glue.

Wendy loves books as well, mostly her father's books, which she grew up
reading. You can usually find her reading. Her father's books have also
given her a love of dragons. She has tried to draw dragons, but unlike most
Parkers, has little to no artistic talent. The only artistic thing she's
actually good at is acting, and not having gone to a drama class or anything
of the sort, only gets small parts in the school plays. Not like she cares.
The stars have to wake up early for extra rehearsal. She, however, can sleep
in, and has time to hang out with her friends. Besides, Wendy would probably
hurt someone's ears with her Loud Yelling if she had to go on stage and
speak to an audience a hundred rows back.

Wendy's secret dream has been to become a world-saving adventurer, like the
people on the shows she watched as a child. This is the reason that this
girl, unlike so many other senshi, loves to be one. She knows when she's
lost a game or battle, but will be sure to try to win the next time. This is
because Wendy feels that the entire team is counting on her. Pluto may
designate a member of another team her "rival" early on, but unlike all the
other senshi, will not go on a murderous rampage against said rival, just
try harder to beat that person for the sake of her team. Her senshi destiny
is a dream come true, and the nightmare-like qualities that are portrayed a
lot more in Smyth are actually reasons that Pluto fights, for to win and
save the world might actually stop all the fighting, dying, mystery,
betrayal and the rest of it. Then again, I said might. Sailor Pluto thinks
it will. She may even try to convince enemies that they are causing these
things and just don't know it, but probably not.

Appearance

Wendy wears her messy sugar-pink hair too short to do anything with, and
there are still a few traces of blonde from a time when she bleached it,
which will likely fade out over the course of the story, if she lives long
enough. She has medium skin, tall chestnut eyes, and a bit of a long nose.
Wendy also has a slight acne problem, which she doesn't bother covering up
with makeup. She has a large mouth and thin lips, never wearing lipstick.
The pink-haired one is an alto, and has the ability to take about four deep
breaths before yelling impossibly loud and probably breaking someone's
eardrum in the process. She usually refrains from doing this, because it
annoys people, and hurts their ears.

Wendy is short. Now before you blink and ramble about genetics, Hope got her
incredible tallness from Raisa, and besides is a whole two years older than
Wendy. Therefore, she has an excuse to be short. Besides, she's not a tiny
I'm-in-twelfth-grade-and-yet-I-sit-in-a-kindergarten-desk person; she's just
a bit shorter than most people. This is what impaired her basketball ability
(though she is still pretty good at it.) She's got a bit of muscle, and
looks like your typical twelve-year-old female athlete. only short. And she
has paper cuts the odd time from possibly unhealthy exposure to too many
books. Anyway. Wendy doesn't try to blend in with unnoticeable dark clothing
like SOME people, but she doesn't dress like those preps she despises
either. Imitation denim shorts or jeans, a T-shirt and her (size 6 in Kids)
blue runners are mainstays in her wardrobe. Oh, and her ice blue timer
watch.

Fuku

Pluto wears an ice blue turtleneck with a big brown Pluto symbol (a mix of
the letters P and L) on the front, acting as the front bow, and over that, a
large brown parka with ice blue trim. She also wears a very long, wide ice
blue skirt that goes to the floor and knee-length brown winter boots. For a
choker, she has a long scarf that she usually removes and leaves somewhere
first thing because it gets in her way, although it goes back into
henshin-space whenever Wendy de-transforms. As a sort of "tiara," Sailor
Pluto gets a coin-sized ice blue Pluto symbol in the middle of her right
cheek.

Wendy HATES this outfit. It gets in her way, especially the scarf, although
that skirt and parka are incredibly annoying as well. (Others pick odd power
bases or really embarrassing attacks. I have fuku that the senshi are at
high risk of tripping over.)

Transformation

"Pluto Planetary Power, Make-Up!"

A wall of weak ice appears in front of Wendy, and she punches it, breaking
it. The ice melts into a puddle, reaches up and wraps itself around the
senshi. She back flips (never mind that she's no good at that in civilian
form), spins twice and poses with one hand outstretched. The water contracts
into the form of a tiny ice cube in her hand, and you can see that she has
transformed into Sailor Pluto. The ice cube then melts away.

Powers

The first thing I'll mention is Pluto's weapon. It looks like a regular ice
cube, only it's dark indigo and it never melts. Summoned in the use of
Arctic Assault, it's called the Never-Melting Ice Cube. The Cube can be
broken in the use of Arctic Assault or by another senshi, but it will always
regenerate in henshin-space.

Below Zero- Pluto says this and points at a senshi. Unless they are really
fast and know what's going to happen, they cannot escape being trapped in a
cage of large upside down icicles. These melt after thirty seconds, or can
be broken by most attacks. Sailor Pluto can use this about two times per
battle.

Arctic Assault- Sailor Pluto says this and extends her hand. The
Never-Melting Ice Cube appears in it, and she throws it on the ground,
breaking it. A small glacier about the size of her head rises from it to eye
level and shoots pointed-side towards the nearest enemy senshi. It shatters
upon impact, and it locks on to the target's initial location, but the
target can move and it'll still hit that location. It can also be blocked.
It's not the strongest attack in the world, either. Pluto can use this about
four times per battle. Whenever the Never-Melting Ice Cube breaks, it will
always restore itself in henshin-space.

Guardian

Eve is a rather annoying rabbit. For the past year she has been terrorizing
the homes around where Wendy lives, eating all of their plants. Even winter
can't stop her. As Wendy is introduced, she just meets her guardian, who has
hopped off to her neighborhood to find more weak tree bark to eat. I'm
serious. Weak tree bark. She's that hungry. Anyway, Wendy believes Eve when
she tells her that she is a senshi, for the main reason that this is her
dream. The rabbit then resides at the Parker home (Wendy's house! Like she'd
ship her guardian off to Italy!) and is rather content eating rabbit food
there, although she might sneak over to the neighbour's house and eat their
lettuce once in a while.

In the summer, Eve is a fat, long-eared sand-coloured bunny with black tips
on both ears, and sharp red eyes. In winter, she's the same, except she
turns white. She much prefers winter because she can actually blend in- not
as many things her colour in the summer. The rabbit was born this way; since
she runs so much and hasn't eaten a lot but still eats, she is not obese or
anything. Eve is annoyingly hyper, although Wendy doesn't mind. The guardian
speaks in an impossibly high voice and after she has eaten, acts as if what
she has consumed was in fact a large bag of Skittles. Even when she has not
eaten, she is still very hyper.

Explanation

Pluto is the ninth planet. most of the time. Sometimes, however, it switches
places with Neptune for twenty years. "Below Zero" came from thinking about
the power base for a while. "Arctic Assault" took forever to think of.

Why Pluto? I like less powerful senshi, for some reason, and she is the
weakest senshi in the UNIVERSE. I wanted to make a senshi related to
Pandora, since she has grandparents in the US. Originally, I was going to
make her grandmother the senshi (do NOT ask) but then I got the idea for the
much-less-weird Wendy. Who'd want Adele anyway? (pictures her using the Old
Lady Glare on enemy senshi)

Eve is a crater on Venus. Eve the rabbit guardian was an early idea that I
rejected with her senshi, but came back later because I wanted Wendy to have
a guardian, and I already had this Astronomia guardian here. She's annoying
now, but you should have seen her in concept designs when she was a rat. I
made her a rabbit that eats all the plants because there is one just like
her that has decided to take up residence on my street, and you guessed it,
not even winter can stop it. If winter can't stop Eve, I thought she'd be a
good guardian for the senshi of ice.
