Emiko: Perdix is on temporary leave. I, uh, sorta hit him too hard last application... Tibby's here instead.

Tibby: Hi.

Emiko: A general disclaimer. Only I may address Theodore as "Tibs" or "Tibster." Everyone else has to call him Tibby or Theo.

Tibby: Theo?

Emiko: Hey, if they really wanted to, they could.

Senshi: Thelial of the Angelus Senshi, representing love

Jace: Agh, not another pansy.
Tami: Shh!
Leta: *V for Victory sign*LOVE BABY!

Earth Name: Rufus Paris

Emiko: I love the name! Reminds me of two of my favorite characters, Rufus from FF7 and Tom Paris from Voyager! ::huggles a Rufus plushie::

Tibby: Here Perdix would make some sort of mean, sarcastic remark.

Emiko: Don't even think about it, Tibs.

Meaning: Literally, “red-headed lover” ^-^

Tami: Whee! Redheads! Redheads just want to have fun!
Rach: *giggles*I like the name.

Age: 19 years old
Birthdate: April 17
"Hey babes, what’s your sign?”: Aries

Rach: Oh, Leta is gonna love him.
Percy: Leta loves everyone, oaf.
Rach: She doesn't love you...
Percy: I leave that up to Jace! *Drool*

Emiko: What in Tartarus is wrong with these guardians?

Blood Type: B
Family:
Mother (Kai Paris) – Kai is a Chinese woman who grew up in the United States and therefore does not retain as much of her cultural heritage as her parents would have liked her to retain. She has a job as an English tutor and therefore is often away from the house, even on late nights. Though she seems soft spoken on the outside, the minute she steps into the house, she has more power than her husband. ^-^

Tami: As it should be! Nice detail.
Rach: Thats right! We women need to take control, baby!
Percy: Men rule.
Rach: *Starts to strangle Percy*Good detail, also.

Father (Jonathon Paris) – Rufus’ father is an American who was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia. He is a man who has a habit of keeping everything neat and tidy, and often drives the entire family up the wall with this. Jonathon works in the computer department as a programmer.

Rach: Sounds like my dad.
Percy: Why does everyones character some how relate to you?
Rach: Erm, coincidence?

Emiko: Hey, all the earlier characters related to me in some way. ^^

Sister (Alexis Paris) – Often called “Alex” for short, Alexis is a playful and hyperactive active bundle of energy. Aged 7, she is still in that stage where she can look up to her brother and admire him greatly, flaws and all. Rufus gets along well with Alex and takes care of her when both parents are out working or attending business dinners.

Rach: Aww.. cute! Me and my sisters squabble greatly.

Tibby: My younger brother Timmy is the same way. Always fighting. Makes me glad I'm out of the house.

School: Hollins University, Freshman year. Though many have their doubts, Rufus proclaims that he did not apply for that University simply because of the female students. He also has his excuses on why he’s still in his Freshman year, which of course, no one believes.

Tami: Hollins! That's a new one.
Percy and Rach: *Nod*

Emiko: Hollins has a really good Lacrosse team.

Likes: Writing, spring, night clubs, young children...oh, and anything in a skirt. ^-^*

Leta: *Giggles*Ooo!
Percy: Great. Now he gets to see senshi in mini-skirts. He'll get a-
Rach: *Tapes his beak shut*THIS IS A PG-13 (or PG at times) RPG BIRD!

Tami: Perdix, put on a skirt.

Rach: Oh, that is just wrong. *Shudders*

Emiko: How does one get a skirt to stay on a bird?

Tibby: With a lot of masking tape.

Emiko: Oh.

Tibby: ::models a skirt:: How's this?

Emiko: O.o; Get out of that thing! You're being out of character!

Dislikes: Math proofs (justification of the theory that English and Math just *don’t* mix), University lectures, the type of people who just don’t know when they’re pushing you for too many answers, and driving O.o
Fav. Food: Pizza and Clam Chowder

Rach: I love clam chowder!
Percy: That is why you are the size of a whale, right?
Rach: Percy, I'm 5'0, and I weigh 80 pounds. Do you have ANY clue what the
heck you are talking about?
Percy: Nope!

Tami: Isn't clam chowder an aphrodisiac?

*Everyone stares*

Tami: Whaat?!
Rach: Tami is to smart for us. Kick her off the board! Just kidding, ^^.
Percy: That might hurt my Jace!
Rach: Your Jace?

Emiko: Our guardians are officially screwy...

Tibby: Hey, be glad you don't ave a hyperactive mouse.

Hated Food: Spaghetti. Macaroni. Fettuccini. Basically...pasta.

Rach: ^^

Emiko: I looooove pasta. We eat it four out of seven days a week, on average.

Fav. Subject: English
Hated Subject: Anything remotely related to Science
Color: Orange-red

Tami: Not a very romantic colour. Unless you find orange-red sexy.
Leta, Percy, and Rach: *All stare at Tami*
Percy: YOU SAID THE S WORD!
Rach: Child. But I must agree. But then again, neither is gold, pink, or white. They are just preppy, ^^.

Emiko: Black is a sexy color.

Tibby: ... ? ::is lost::

Hobbies: Creative writing pieces, track, and the usual task of keeping an eye on as many girls as possible

Leta: *Hides*

Tibby: So she hides from Rufus, and I hide from her... I sense multiple conflicts of interest.

Aspirations: Date 101 girls in two months? ^-^*

Rach: ^^, he sounds like Donny!

Seriously though, Rufus’ main goal is to just get through his first year of University and manage to move on to the next. Then, when he makes it out of University, he’ll start thinking about what he’s going to do to keep himself alive.
Favorite Gemstone: Quartz

History
Rufus’ history isn’t exceptionally interesting, which is to his liking. He never lost any parents, was never neglected or abused, and even had a wonderful sister who looked up to him.

Tami: Woohoo! No dead parents!
Rach: YES! *Hugs Rufus*No depressing! No devastees for Emikooooo *Sings*

Emiko: People who want to make devastated characters: apply to WoE. We love devastees there.

In short, he was your average person...then again, perhaps he wasn’t as average as he seemed. It all started in the large city of Los Angeles, where Rufus was conceived and born. He actually entered the world a week before he was due while the doctor delivering him joked about how he “couldn’t wait to start his life”. This was probably more truth than humour though.

Rach: Weird.

As the dark haired boy, half Chinese and half American, grew up, he learned to love life in every form it took, though the female kind was always the best. (^-^*)

Percy: Fresh little brat, huh?
Rach: Ignore the bird.

Emiko: Done. :D Just kiddin', Percy.

On the weekdays he would visit his friends’ houses, and on the weekends he would spend some time wandering around the city. He absolutely loved his life there. Unfortunately, around the age of 16, Rufus received news that his family was moving back to his father’s hometown, Roanoke in Virginia. He wasn’t exactly joyous about this, but there was nothing that he could do. No matter what he said, he couldn’t stop the moving men packing up his belongings, nor could he sway his parents’ decision.

Emiko: I remember when I was forced to move to Roanoke with no say in the decision... bummer.

Regretfully, he started a new life in Roanoke. It wasn't difficult for him to adjust to, and soon Rufus had developed new friends, some being boys but the larger amount consisting of girls. It was around his second year in Roanoke that he dyed his hair, and by then he was fully enjoying his life in Roanoke as well. Finally, the time for him to attend University arrived, and he chose Hollins University as the place to study his favorite subject at. He was 19 when he started University, but then again, that was probably because he had been forced to repeat his senior year in high school.

Leta: I'm gonna pass! YES! BWAHAHA!
Percy: O.O, she is flunking.
Rach: You are so mean, Percy. Get a life.

Emiko: I will soooo try not to make any jokes about his academic status.

Rufus currently resides at his house with the rest of his family, his reason being that he didn’t have to pay rent, and he would be able to take care of his sister. His parents both had tough jobs, and often came home late at night. Not long ago, a little bird

Emiko: Nooooooo! ::suddenly wishes Perdy were here to scream with her::

Tibby: ...

literally flew in and told him about his position as an Angelus senshi. He was less than thrilled about this discovery.

Rach: A little... bird? NO MORE BIRDS!
Percy: Yeah! They might hit on my Jace!
Rach: For the last time, Jace is not 'yours'.

Emiko: Poor Tami... she did this application first, ne? Jace is probably about as much Percy's as Sophie is Perdy's.

Tibby: Which means romantic relationships are probably far down on the list, after "butt-kicking" and "avoiding."

Emiko: Darnit, stop getting OOC. It annoys me. >.<

Personality
Rufus would probably make a better soldier of lust than soldier of love, what with that personality of his. For one thing, he likes women in any shape and form, as long as they are human.

Emiko: Ha! How ironic!

Tibby: ::laughs:: You've got some horrid plan, as usual, don't you?

The right words and a pretty face usually win him a date, though none of them last for long. He likes it this way too. The only girls who he goes around with on a regular basis is a small group of girls who could almost be considered his fan club. There are even rumors that the “leader” of the club, named Kyna, more than admires Rufus, but nothing can be sure. When asked for a living proof that not all girls liked men with fast cars, people often point their fingers towards Rufus. If there is something which everyone can’t help but notice, it is the red head’s atrocious driving skills. When allowed to touch a car, he would drive it through the wall unintentionally.

Tami: *giggles* Poor Rufus. I hate cars, too, they're big and... noisy.

Jace: Pansy.
Rach: *Giggles*I like him.

If he was extremely careful though, he would manage to arrive at his destination without any accidents...three hours late.

Rach: ^^

It’s a wonder that he even managed to acquire a driver’s licence!

Tibby: You Americans are crazy. I'd never let an oaf like him get a driver's license.

Emiko: That's better. Closer to character, at least.

As for Rufus’s talents, he exceeds in the art of writing. His English assignments would always be near perfection, (as his teachers rave) and countless writing awards were scattered about his bookshelf. Often other students would glare at him with jealousy, as he hardly had to work long before he produced a masterpiece. Unfortunately, while he does excellent in English, the same cannot be said about his other subjects. Rufus’s grades in everything else minus gym are poor, and they are extremely lacking in the science department. The thing to be realized though is that if he tried hard enough, he could probably improve all of these drastically. He is a rather intelligent student after all, and just lacks the discipline needed. He is the sort of person who puts lots of effort into what he likes, but completely ignores the things that don’t interest him in the least.

Rach: Just like me.

There are even times in his English classes where he would receive a low mark, simply because the subject assigned wasn’t to his liking.

Emiko: I feel his pain.

Tibby: Not me. I'm into economics.

He always manages to charm the teacher back into liking him though, by submitting a ten page assignment the very next day.

Emiko: Seriously, I feel his pain. I'm accused of being the best writer in my class, but my revenge is that if I don't like an assignment, I don't do it, and when I do like an assignment, I turn it into a tirade about how my stupid English teacher killed a poor innocent insect one day in class. The bug wasn't doing anything wrong! ::grumble::

Another flaw of Rufus’s is his temper. He can hold it for quite a while when things don’t go exactly to his liking, but if pushed too far, it breaks loose. When this happens, everyone within three miles is advised to run for cover.

Rach: *Jumps into her bomb shelter*

It would be foolish not to.

Tibby: I'll remember that.

Besides his temper, there is also his spontaneous behavior. Rufus is not one to plan things out step by step, and often jumps ahead or lags behind as he sees fit. This often annoys his father, who is an extreme perfectionist when it comes to planning and organization. To make up for his lack of discipline and organization, the red haired student has a pretty good sense of “street smarts”. He knows how to get from place to place and adapts well with his surroundings.

Though he enjoys the company of the opposite sex, Rufus has never found someone who he truly liked deep down in his heart, and he has never had a steady relationship. This is because he believes that every person should take care of him/herself. A steady relationship is usually described as both the man and woman leaning on each other and supporting each other, but Rufus can’t follow up on this. He fends for himself and finds it hard to trust others when his wellbeing is in their hands. The only people who have an excuse for needing someone to lean on are young children (such as his sister) who don’t have the experience to take care of themselves yet.

Tami: *Breaks into the chorus of 'Lean On Me'*
Rach: *Joins in*
Percy: Right. Guess I make the comments on this. This was quite through,
and I personally enjoyed his character. Good show, ^^.
Leta: Wow, he didn't insult you! He must really like ya!

Emiko: I feel his pain.

Tibby: Stop saying that already!

Appearance
Matching the name which was given to him, Rufus has a head full of short, straight locks which glow with an unmistakable orange-red color in the sunlight. It is important to understand though that this shade of hair was only obtained by many bottles of hair dye, and if you were to search deep enough, you would find dark brown roots just beginning to surface.

Jace: AAAH! IT'S FAKE!
Rach and Percy: O.O

Emiko: Sounds cool, though.

Tibby: Deep down, we're all brunettes.

Emiko: ... I need to go apologize to Perdix and beg him to return...

Rufus likes his hair exactly the way it is currently, and he often pours on pounds of gel just to get his bangs to fall in that certain way of his.

Rach: *Drools*Sounds like my boyfrind Lo...

To match his flaming red tendrils, Rufus’ eyes are naturally an emerald green shade, as inherited from his father. His body build is just above average, and he stands at a height of 5’7, which is already quite tall for someone of his background. When others describe his face, they most often say use the word “pretty”. If he tried hard enough, Rufus could probably pass for a girl, albeit a slightly odd-one.

Jace: Damn! We have all these PANSY men!
Tami: *deadpan* I don't know. You're kind of masculine.
Rach: ^^, true true.
Percy: *Attacks Tami* DO NOT TEASE MY GIRLFRIEND!
Leta: Girlfriend? *looks scared*

Tibby: I think I could learn to like Jace.

Emiko: Uh, I like Jace's character, too, Tibs, but you and her together? Uh, no.

^-^* Not wishing to be conservative, but also preferring not to walk around in sleeveless shirts, his wardrobe usually consists of a loose open-collared shirt and equally large pants, held up by a simple belt. It’s just what he feels more comfortable in.

Emiko: I'm having trouble getting past the beautiful pictures of Rufus Shinra I have in my head... ::sniffles:: But the descriptions looks good so far. I love this guy's hair.

Being one of those boys who spends around an hour just getting ready in the morning, Rufus’ looks are always complimented by an accessory of some sort on his body. The ones he’s always seen wearing include a single red stud in his left ear and a necklace with a small black cross, sent by his sister on his nineteenth birthday.

Tami: You know what they say about men who wear jewellry.
Rach: Oh, come off it girl!
Leta: I like him. *Drools*
Rach: How easily she forgets Tibby, good oppurtunity for him to escape, ^^

Tibby: Escape! Escape! I am free to date Acacia!

Emiko: Acacia!?

Fuku
Thelial’s uniform consists of two layers. The first layer is a simple white short sleeved shirt, with the collar, sleeves, and bottom lining of the shirt thinly outlined in an orange-red color. Loose fitting black pants adorn his legs, reaching down to cover the grey strapped sandals around his feet. (Thelial is thankful of this too, for he feels that the sandals make his feet look “bare and silly”, and still wonders who ever thought up Thelial’s uniform)

Tibby: Ditto.

Emiko: ::giggles::

The second layer of Thelial’s uniform is simply a large and loose grey trench coat,

Emiko: Now I am reminded of my beloved Seifer-sama... ::sighs:: I'm going to have fun drawing this guy, methinks...

which falls down to the back of his knee. He keeps the coat open and unbuttoned. If you were to look at the coat from the back, you would see an image of two wings faintly etched onto the coat’s material. Currently, their only purpose is for design. The cross necklace Rufus always wears is still there around Thelial’s neck, and his earring has been replaced with an orange-red stud shaped like a cross.

Tami: Nice uniform! I have a weird preconception that the Angelus fukus are
more flowy and less armoury than the others.
Jace: I love how you make up stupid words on the spot.
Rach: ^^, I liked it too. Mega funk.

Transformation
Henshin phrase: “Thelial Angelus Power!” (No one...and that’s no one...will be able to get Rufus to say “Make-up”. Not if you burned him, hung him by his nails, and banned him from seeing another girl...well, he might agree to that last threat...)

Rach: ^^, bahaha!
Leta: *Puts away her makeup with a sigh*

Item: No item. Rufus would only loose it.

Emiko: LOL!

As the transformation begins, Rufus is bathed in a dome of bright red light, so that someone watching from the outside can’t sneak a glimpse of his clothes dematerializing.

Leta: *Snaps fingers and pouts*Darn!

Tibby: Lucky guy.

Emiko: Geez, Tibster, it's not like you can really *see* see anything.

Once his garments have fully been dissolved into thin air, a glowing red image of two wings appears on his back, just beneath his shoulder bone. From out of these two images sprout real wings, their feathers sprayed with the colors of sunset. Shortly afterwards, his chest and legs glow bright red. In only the matter of a few seconds, the glowing has died down to be replaced with the shirt and pants of Thelial’s uniform. Finally, the outstretched wings retreat back into Thelial’s back and his grey coat forms around him. The bright light surrounding him dies down, revealing Thelial standing straight, left hand buried in his pants pocket and right eye formed into a wink. The winged image on the back of his coat glows faintly before dying down.

Tami: I like long transformation sequences, even if the enemy's kind of killed you by then! Pretty, anyway ^_~
Rach: Tres funky, ne Emiko?

Emiko: ::chanting:: Seifer plus Rufus plus Tom Paris plus Rinoa equals Thelial... Seifer plus Rufus...

Tibby: She's out of it. And we had just gotten her past the Final Fantasy part of her therapy...

Powers
Thelial is simply a mere angel, and an angel of love at that, so his powers are more defensive than offensive. He does have one attack power though.

Tibby: Lucky him.

Emiko: Whaddaya mean? You have an attack attack!

Tibby: I know, but that doesn't change the fact that he's lucky. His luck has nothing to do with me.

Emiko: FINALLY you are perfectly in character!

“Spiralling Ether Ray”: (Ether also means “Heaven”) Speaking these words in a calm voice, a bright flame builds up at Thelial’s feet and slowly starts to crawl up his legs, without singeing his revealed toes. He then extends one hand out in front of him and the fire around his legs instantly jumps into his open palm. There, it takes on a more solid shape of a blazing heart.

Tibby: Now, would that be the symbol of a heart or the blood pump in his chest?

Emiko: ::glomps Tibby::

From the center of the heart a beam of bright orange-red emits, causing damage to wherever the end of the beam hits. By moving his arm around slowly, Thelial can control where the beam falls. Unfortunately, the power dies down after three seconds, but then again, three seconds can be quite awhile for whoever is on the receiving end. Something to note though is that this attack is not as powerful as it sounds. It can cause a burning pain in whoever its being directed towards, but can’t tear gashes in people’s bodies or cut trees in half.

Tami: Not much to do with love. Except if you consider it tough love. *ba dump chings*
Rach: Hey, does Venus Love Me Chain have anything to do with love? Cut the dude slack, I know how hard it is to make a love character. ^^, but she is right.

Emiko: I'd like a little more justification, personally, but I can deal. And I love you "ba dump chings," Tami-chan. ^^

“Love Bound Wrap”: Before he even says anything, a long piece of orange-red cord falls into Thelial’s hand. Then, staring intently at the person he wishes to use his power again,

Rach: Again? Oh, you mean AGAINST

he exclaims, “Love Bound...” His hand thrusts forward and his grip on the cord is released, sending it flying towards his opponent. On the word “wrap”, the cord then binds itself around the other person, making it difficult for the person to attack, or even move for that matter. This cord draws its energy from how strong the feeling of love the victim has for someone else—whether family, friend, or lover—who is still living, is. If the love is strong, the cord will hold on for longer than it would if the love was weak. This is usually the case when the person entangled has dead parents and the like.

Emiko: MWAH HA HA HA HA!!! Anyoen who dares to submit a dead parents character will be entangled by this chord and never let free! Or does it mean that people with dead parents would be held for a shorter amount of time? ::is now confuzzled::

In every case though, the cord will eventually fall off and disappear, releasing the captive.

Emiko: No! It will hold someone forever if I say so! Mwahahahahaha!!!

Jace: Hah! I'm immune! I hate everybody!
Percy: *Sobs*NO JACE! You love me, right?
Rach: How very disturbing...

“Infinite Love Moment”: As many know, the power of love can be the perfect remedy for someone who is feeling down, lacking of energy, or low in confidence. Thelial’s power uses this knowledge to help allies who need just this, even if he has no allies at the moment and prefers it this way. Placing his hand over the other person’s heart,

Tibby: Which, conveniently, is located near a female's breast.

Emiko: So blunt, you Brit. >.< Though Perdix would have said something more perverted, I think...

he says softly, “Infinite Love Moment.” He then withdraws his hand, revealing the sign of infinity glowing where his palm had rested just seconds before. The sign glows for a split second and then fades away, leaving the person with higher hopes, confidence, and energy. The drawbacks to this power is that it drains much of Thelial’s energy, leaving him weaker and more exposed. It is a rare occasion when this power is used.

Rach: I like this attack, tres nifty. Spifferoo.
Percy: English, Rachel, English.

Emiko: I like it too.

Tibby: And I bet our womanizing friend her loves it.

Emiko: ::kicks him:: ^^ I feel better now.

Tibby: My shin! ;_;

Guardian
(Note: I know that on the Guardian’s page it says not to create a bird guardian unless it is absolutely necessary and incredibly relevant. In the “Guardian Justification” section after the “Guardian” section, I will try my best to convince the GM why I chose this particular guardian. ^-^*)

Emiko: ::grumbles:: Fine, we'll see.

Tami: Aaaah, another birdbrain. We're all going to be dying of psittacotis!

If you live in the United States, sometimes in the spring when you look out your window, you might see a red-breasted robin fly by. Have you ever wondered if these common birds could be something more than just ordinary creatures? Don’t worry. Rufus never has either.

Rach: *Laughs*

Tibby: ::laughs::

Valentine

Rach: Hey, mayhap I missed this, but what is the naming orders for Angelus?

Emiko: Saints. It says so on the page.

, a small red-breasted robin, is the only creature alive who knows of Rufus’ other identity as Thelial. In fact, she even knew about this even before *he* did! Of course, that might be because Valentine is Rufus’ guardian. The strange thing about Valentine is that she cannot communicate in the human language at all. Her tongue and beak were never meant for such a language, and thus she has another way of getting her message across.

Emiko: Aw, poor her. Perdix doesn't actualy speak-speak, you know. He just sort of opens his beak and sound comes out. ^^

Valentine communicates via the mind.

Emiko: It seems more than one Angelus guardian does, then...

If she is near the person she wants to talk to, messages and images are sent into the person’s mind. Once adjusted to this new way of communicating, it is even quite easy for someone to get a feel of Valentine’s “voice” and personality as well! Rufus and Valentine get along somewhat well, though the robin’s personality does cause a few bumps along the road. While Rufus is the slacking and unpredictable warrior, Valentine is the serious and law-abiding guardian.

Rach: They all are.
Percy: HEY!

Emiko: Hey, it just occured to me, wasn't Valentine a guy? Oh well. No matter. ^^

She regards everything she does with utmost importance and tries her best to make sure that Thelial understands the full extent of his powers and uses them correctly. Organization is a large part of her life, and she likes everything planned out for when the time comes. If a large earthquake was predicted to shake the town in fifty years, you can more than expect to find Valentine doing everything in her being to prepare for it. At the moment though, she herself doesn’t even know what she has to do. All she is aware of is that she has to find the Angelus Thelial and awaken his power, but the rest is a mystery. So maybe there is a limit to how far Valentine’s planning to go.

Emiko: If Perdix were here, he'd be poking fun at her right now... ::sighs::

TibbyL I can poke fun, if you like.

Emiko: No, don't bother. You'd never be as good at it as Perdix.

Valentine is not a “pet” to anyone in Rufus’s household, and will often fly away for days before returning to transfer important information to Rufus. She is never around when not needed, but can still sometimes be seen watching from afar. As of now, Rufus *still* doesn’t know where she flies off to when it’s time to sleep.

Tami: When the red, red robin goes bob, bob, bobbin' along... I have no trouble with Valentine. It seems like a good idea, and I like robins, although they have no meat on 'em....

Emiko: ::bursts out laughing::

Rach: While I like the descriptions, I still don't get why we require a robin, or at that, any bird. We have one to many. Turn this into a sheep. I want to see a sheep guardian.

Emiko: I want a horse guardian.

Tibby: I want a frog.

Timocharis: I want some cheese.

Emiko: ...

Percy: And you want to meet Tony Hawk, but that ain't in the cards now is it?
Rach: Alright, I'll let it pass. *chases Percy around with a dead trout*
Leta: O.O;;

Emiko: I want a fish.

Tibby: I want a snake.

Timocharis: I still want some cheese.

Tibby: ::feeds Charis::

Angel Justification:
Not much is known about the angel Thelial, but there still is a bit of information about him out there.

Emiko: So let's hear it! :)

Thelial is one of the four Angels of Love, and people often look toward him to gain luck on being able to obtain the woman or man that they most want. I chose Thelial after piecing Rufus together, because he seemed to be the best angel fit for my character. Of course, instead of finding the right woman for other men, he instead strives to find the right woman for himself! ^-^*

Rach: Leta is jsut the same.

Guardian Justification:
When I was searching for a guardian, I first decided to check out the list of saints and see which saint best fitted Thelial. Right away, I came up with St. Valentine. Next, I needed an animal for which Valentine would be. Reading the information on St. Valentine, I discovered that lovers were associated with the feast of Valentine, because on that day all of the birds were said to have chosen their mate. It’s because of this that people started writing love letters to each other on Valentine’s day. Also, in the part listing what Valentine represented, the word “birds” was listed as the very first representation. Thus, no matter what I did, I just couldn’t seem to come up with any other guardian but a bird. (I could have chosen a bee as well, but I have this fear of insects. ^-^*)

Emiko: I want a bee!

Tibby: I want a cow!

As for making Valentine a Robin, I have a reason for that as well. For one thing, Robins are well known for their bright red chests, and as red is generally the color of love and is also extremely close to Thelial’s color, this bird looks perfect for the role. Not only that, but when it is time to mate, the male robins will be the ones calling out to the females. The same goes for Rufus, who is the sort of person to hit on the girls before they even get a chance to see him clearly. Of course, if it’s just *not* possible to squeeze another bird in, I’ll be more than willing to remove Thelial’s guardian and just have him “awakened” by someone else’s guardian.  ^-^ Or perhaps you have suggestions for a different animal?

Tami: Ehehh, you've convinced me.
Rach: Same here. I know the story of Valentine. Its so sad.. *sniffles*. Alright, I believe you can keep the birdy, but it is up to Emiko.

Emiko: ... Damn. You win. Welcome my red-breasted friend! Your player is good at arguments!

Writing Sample

Emiko: I don't feel like fixing the formatting. Sue me.

Tibby: ::rushes off to file a lawsuit::

Wings covered in feathers lit up with a glowing
radiance and spread out towards the heavens above.
Soft light from the sun streamed down on them and
outlined every tip, displaying every detail and point
to perfection. As the outspread wings reached out
further, a body was revealed within them, a body
garbed in white. The face was covered by the glare of
the light, and yet there was an almost calm feeling
surrounding it. A feeling of peace and serenity.
“...wonder what it’s still doing here. What do you
think, Rufus?” a musical voice questioned softly.
Shaking his head and causing a few tendrils of
orange-red hair to sway upwards with the breeze, Rufus
cleared his mind of those absurd thoughts which had
just floated by. Wings...angels...they weren’t
exactly the sort of things he would choose to think
about, but this time, it was as if a vision had been
forced into his mind. Meanwhile, the girl standing to
his right tapped her foot impatiently. Smiling, Rufus
simply brushed back the rebel strands of his hair and
responded,
“Could you repeat that again? I wasn’t quite
listening.”
“You’re losing your touch, Rufus,” another girl
exclaimed from nearby, “you were meant to tell Kyna
how you were so distracted by her beautiful face that
you couldn’t pay attention to her words. You know how
she loves to hear corny compliments like that!” With
her brow furrowed and lips pressed into a thin line,
Kyna continued,
“As I was going to say before I was ignored and
interrupted...do you see that robin just standing on
the sidewalk over there? I wonder what it’s still
doing here. It’s already winter, so shouldn’t that
bird have flown off to some other place by now?”
Glancing over at where Kyna was pointing, Rufus was
surprised to find a robin standing there, just as the
girl had said. Its head was raised and the bird
cocked its head slightly to the left, as if trying to
find a suitable angle for surveying the red haired
student. No...it was simply wondering who these three
people were. Rufus was amazed at himself that he had
even thought of the robin as doing something else just
a short second ago.
“Come on, Rufus,” Kyna’s sharp tone snapped, “I know
that it looks forlorn and dejected when the weather is
so cold, but you don’t have to stare at it like you’re
in shock. Let’s get going.” Nodding his head, the
red head tore his gaze away from the robin. The three
university students then proceeded to walk again, the
two girls chatting incessantly about their day while a
quiet man walked between them. Finally, they reached
their destination.
“You sure that the two of you don’t want to stay for
a while?” Rufus questioned as he fished in his pocket
for the house key.
“We would love to,” Kyna exclaimed, speaking for the
other girl as well, “but we do have to work on that
term paper coming up. Besides, you were so quiet
today...are you sick? I don’t want to catch whatever
you’re carrying!”

Rach: Me neither!

Waving, the two girls then departed
as swiftly as they had come, rushing off to work on an
assignment they had already held off for three weeks.
As he pushed open the door, Rufus remembered that he
had the same paper to write up as well. It was due in
a few days, but he just couldn’t bring himself to put
energy into something as dull as that. It was no
wonder he wasn’t exactly doing well in his favorite
subject.
Before he could even set one foot into the doorway, a
bundle of hyperactive energy burst out of a nearby
room and attacked Rufus.
“Rufus!” the little girl cried out, grabbing his
hand. Tugging on it, she started to walk towards the
room she had just came from.
“Hey, Alex! How are you doing? What’s going on?”
Rufus responded, allowing himself to be pulled along
by his seven year old sister. Ignoring his question,
Alexis dragged him into a room...it was his bedroom
actually...and flicked the light switch on. She then
dropped his hand and pointed her finger towards the
window sill. A red breasted bird was perched there.
It was a robin.
“Isn’t that strange? I learned in school that we’re
not ‘sposed to see robins in winter, but he’s there!
Think he’s cold? Why’s he here?”
“Maybe he’s following me,” Rufus joked, though deep
inside he wondered if it was really so. Just how many
robins hung around in this place during the winter?
Giggling, Alexis commented,
“It must be a girl then. They’re the only ones who
would bother following you, of all people!” With a
frown plastered across his face, the red haired
brother ushered his sister out of his room, telling
her that he had an important assignment coming up.
Once Alexis left the room, he fell down onto the bed,
exhausted with the day’s events. Closing his eyes, he
waited for the sleep he needed to arrive.
The winged man was there again, but this time there
were others around him. Some of them were men dressed
in all different types of clothing, while others were
girls wearing variations of the same type of uniform.
Then a voice spoke, no louder than a mere whisper,
“Astronomia, Graikos, Romanus...Angelus. Do you know
who they are?” The voice paused, as if searching for
what to say next. Finally, it continued,
“Do you know who you are? You will find out soon.”
His eyes flew open with a start, the first sight
greeting those green orbs being the small black eyes
of the robin’s. Sitting up, Rufus placed his hand to
his forehead in an attempt to recall what he had just
experienced. Was it a dream? He had been fully
conscious for the entire time, and yet it seemed as
though a voice had been speaking to him, and images
had run through his mind. No suitable answer arrived
though. Shaking his head in defeat, the red haired
student stood up and walked over towards his computer,
switching the monitor on. Perhaps he would work on
that essay after all. At least it would keep his
thoughts focused on reality...if only for a few hours.

Rach: Kick butt, dude!

Will you allow your senshi to be killed? If not, why? If it was important for the plot, then I would, but I actually prefer for him not to be killed. For one thing, I know that I will put lots of effort into playing my character and developing his personality if I get accepted. If Thelial gets killed, there goes all of my work with him! Then again...senshi never truly die. They’re simply reborn from the Galaxy Cauldron again in another form... *thinks hard then stops because it hurts too much*

Rach: *giggle*

*breathes out in relief* After ten pages and many hours, my application is finished. I hope that it’s to your liking!
- Crys

Tami: I really like this app. Rufus is three-dimensional, new, funny, he doesn't have dead parents, and I couldn't see anything that I could really pick on.

Jace: I'd prefer it if he could die.

Tami: You're a bloodthirsty little weasel. Anyway, I vote ACCEPT - we need more Angelus senshi, and he seems to be a good addition! Hope he gets along with Ariel!

Rach: Tami basically just said everything needed. Maybe if you could tweak the powers just a bit to match the character. Accept with Revisions to power.

Emiko: Ah, heck, I say accept with power revisions optional. But accept.
