Rules

First off, these are the rules and I expect you to follow them. I am forgiving, as are the other players, but if you break these rules you are stupid and an ass. Of course, there may be extenuating circumstances, but only for inactivity reasons. Anything else and you're just dumb.

Character Rules

Characters from an Anime or Manga Series
No characters from any 'official' anime or manga will be accepted; nor characters from a fanfic. The character must be created 100% by you, specifically for the RPG. If it is an obvious knock-off of some other character, forget being accepted. And, yeah, we've come across this before.

Creating Your Own Character
This is where your character comes from... the inside of your head... nowhere else. See check out the join page for more information, guide on making characters, requirements, etc. If you have had an character from an RPG that has died and you wish to port the character across, good luck - but make sure the character fits the world of Euphoria.

Premade Characters
While, at the moment, there are no premade characters, there may / may not be in the future, and there may be a premade character if someone in the RPG leaves and their character is left for someone else to use. Usually in this case, however, the character will be killed.

Animals
While the number of animals is limited (not everyone will have one) most people will have a creature of some sort. Remember, Euphoria isn't Earth, so the animals there shouldn't necessarily look like Earth-Creatures, just like the people of Euphoria don't need to look human.

Playing Multiple Characters
Good news! Now you can! You may apply for a Warrior and a Swarm Commander. More minor characters might be available as another character type pops up (wouldn't want to spoil you, darlings, but it might be something to do with the Resistance. Are you excited? I'm excited!)

Changing Characters
Changing characters is not permitted due to the way the RPG works. Once you have made your character, you are stuck with it, no way out. So you'd better like the character you've made. Remember, you can have two.

Using Other Players' Characters

You can move in the most basic way for other characters, but don't do anything that character wouldn't do. It is best to leave this at the most basic movements. Say you're Bob, this would be perfectly allowed:

"Bob gestured to John, and smiled as John walked over."

Unless John has no legs, or something.

Major movements and putting direct words in the other characters' mouths are not accepted. Ask before you do anything you feel may be major. Fight fairly - let the characters defend themselves, and don't avoid every blow thrown your way.

Killing Other Characters
This is a definate no-no in the RPG and grounds for expulsion from the game. The killing off of other people's characters is not permitted as it would be very unfair to the person who created the character. The only excpetions to this rule are:

Relationships Between Characters
There are no problems with players creating relationships. Friendships should be mutually agreed upon, however, between the two players. Your character can like someone else without their permission. For them to like you back, however, you need their permission. So if they despise you, tough, that's the way it goes.

Rewriting
If someone makes an incorrect statement or action for your character, rewrite it and then tell them about it. If they continue to do it consistently, inform one of the Monarchy members. Please try and send a copy of the offending story as well.

Technical Rules

E-mail addresses
If an e-mail provider is found to be exceptionally unreliable, players using addresses from that provider will be asked to change to another provider. There are a number of reliable free email provider that you may switch to. In addition, only one player is allowed from any one address.

Mail to the Group
NO CHAIN LETTERS!!! You are not allowed to use the RPG for chain letter purposes! If you send a chain letter within the RPG you will get NO warnings, you will be kicked out right on the spot. This includes "virus warning" hoaxes, "cancer patient" letters, "Sign and save Sailormoon!" and any other mail that is not related to the RPG.

Starting A Chapter
To start a chapter, write up a summary of the plot line and get it approved by the Monarchy.

If Someone Does Not Respond to an RPG ...
First, check the board to see if they are out of action for any reason. If after seven days, they have not sent the story back or otherwise notified you that they are working on it or that they sent it to someone else, send them an e-mail to ask about the story.
If they still have not responded within seven days from the date you sent this second e-mail, you are permitted to send the story to someone else and tell the first player that because they did not reply in time, they are disqualified. Also, report this player to the Monarchy and they will get a warning.
Whenever you get an RPG If you do not send a story back to the person who sent it to you within seven days from the date you recieve it, you must reply to him or her, saying that you sent the story to someone else or that you still have it and are working on it.
If you do not so this, the player who sent you the story may disqualify you and send the story to someone else. He or she may also report you and you would be given a warning. A good excuse, like server problems, etc, and we might take off that warning. If you do this excessively, you're out of the RPG.

Replies

When sending an RPG post to someone, erase or try to avoid those annoying little >'s that some e-mail programs and eGroups use to mark replies.

Refusal

You are permitted to refuse to participate in any story. C'mon, this stuff is just getting to the 'Common Sense' bit by now.

Writing Out of Turn

Adding to a story when it is not your turn is frowned upon as it generally throws off the story. A person who does this will get a warning and will probably have their addtion removed. If you wish to add to the story, you must mail the request the person who currently adding to it. That person then has the option to send it to you if the story will permit it.

Lack of Participation
Please participate in stories you're in. You can idle for as long as you like when you're not active in a story, but due to the nomadic element of Warriors of Euphoria, please post to stories you've committed to. If you find you are busy during a story and are stopping the progress of the others, discuss and we'll find some way to write you out of that chapter temporarily.

Warnings
Three warnings and you will be kicked from the RPG. You receive warnings for the violation of certain rules. For example, if someone reports you for not sending a story back in time, you will get a warning. Two more and you will get either a demotion or be kicked from the RPG. There are exceptions to the "three warning" rule, depending on the severity of the action. Unless the exception is stated on this rules page, it is up to the decision of the Monarchy.

Quitting the RPG
If you quit the RPG permanently, you have the option to either have your character killed off or you may leave their character for someone else to use. Usually, the character will die. We like character deaths. If a character is killed off, the characters' position will be available as a different version of that character. The kingdom that you write may / may not be kept, depending whether or not your character has actually entered the RPG.
Example: If Valkyrie were to die, someone else could take over her Warrior of Power position, but they can't call themselves Valkyrie, etc.

Returning After You Quit

if you quit and want to rejoin, may only do so if the following conditions are met:

Content Rules

Keep everything PG-13. No nausea-inducing uberdetailed scenes of violence or sex, but really - it's a medieval-style age. You know the drill. Just keep in character.

Plot
ANYTHING is allowed to happen, just so long as the other players involved approve. If you are planning an extensive storyline, please go over it with one of the Monarchy to make sure it will not conflict with the stories of any other players.

The rules for this site were stolen originally from the Sailor Angels page, who, in turn, were lent the rules by the Sailor Moon RPG. However, that was freakin' years ago when the internet was young and innocent.
